John H. Anderson 62, of Parker City, IN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 8, 2008 at Ball memorial Hospital. He was born July 9, 1946 in Jamestown, TN, the son of Henry F. Anderson and Olive (West) Roysden. He married Clara (Epperson) on September 21, 1968 in Jamestown, TN.
He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, also John loved to fish, camp, hunt and golf in his spare time. He was a member of the Murpah Shrine Club and Whitney Lodge #229 F & AM.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years Clara J. Anderson of Parker City, a son Mark A. Anderson of Muncie, a daughter, Lisa M. Walters (husband Chris) of Muncie, mother, Olive Roysden of Selma, five grandchildren, Jared Anderson, Janavee, Johnathan Partain, Christopher and Aaron Walters, a brother, Chester R. Anderson (wife Carol) of Muncie, six sisters, Mary Lou Roysden (husband Clarence) of TN, Ann Coon (husband Ray) of Muncie, Carol McCloud of TN, Bertha Cooper ( Mark) of Selma, Betty Peckinpaugh (husband Greg) of Muncie and Maxine Gray of TN and several nieces, nephews, and aunt and uncle.
Preceded in death by his father, Henry F. Anderson, sister, Nora Slaven, five brothers, Grover, Archie, Claude, Edgar and Arnold Anderson.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday October 11, 2008 At the Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, Indiana, 47303. Pastor Arthur Jennings will officiate the service. Viewing will be on Friday October 10, 2008 from 5:00p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Memorial contributions can be made to the Shriners Children''s Hospital or the Little Red Door (Cancer Society). Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
