John Franklin Clevenger, 74, of Gas City, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Community Hospital North. Born in Muncie he was the son of the late Isaac and Mary Clevenger. He was a member of the Marion Congregation of Jehovah Witness and he retired in 2003 after owning and operating Clevenger Car Clinic in Gas City since 1978.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean Clevenger of Gas City; daughter, Karla and (Casey) Jones of Silver Springs, Florida; sons, Jeffrey (Brenda Hall) and Gale (Lynda) both of Marion; step son, Michael (Linda) Lynas of Elwood; sister, Rosemary Moore of Marion; brother in law, Louis May of Muncie; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Per John''s request there will be no services or calling. He will be laid to rest in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
