Obituary

John C. Fisher, 71 of Muncie, IN passed from this earthly house to a mansion with God on May 15, 2012. He was born October 10, 1940 in Muncie, IN the son of the late Robert Samuel and Mary Jane (Ford) Lewis. His work history included Marsh Warehouse, Colonial Bakery and lastly the Ontario Corp., where he retired in 1996. John was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and attended the Berea Apostolic Church in Muncie. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Fisher; a brother, Robert Fisher and a sister, Lois Abram. John is survived by his lifelong companion of 43 years, Jackie Fisher; his children, Tamara (Jerome) Goudelock of Chicago, IL; John C. (Pam) Fisher Jr. of Muncie, IN; Cory (Sunni) Matters of Muncie, IN; Tammy (Brad) Holstein of Muncie, IN; Gary (Cindy) Hinds Jr. of Muncie, IN; Rhonda Fisher of Dayton, OH; Margo (Leslie) Fisher of Fayetteville, NC; Adam L. Fisher; his sisters, Phyllis V.(Elbert) Staten of Indianapolis, IN; Bessie (Lonnie) Jordan of Muncie, IN; Mary (J.D.) Byers of Indianapolis, IN; Patricia Jordan of Indianapolis IN; his brother, Irvin E. Lewis of Carson City, MI; brother-in-law, Bishop Renzie Abram; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation for John will be on Friday (5/25/2012) from 10am until service time at 12 Noon at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN. Officiating will be Bishop Renzie Abram of Berea Apostolic Church in Muncie, IN. Burial will follow the services in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Berea Apostolic Church, 1618 W. Willard St., Muncie, IN 47302. The family of John C. Fisher would also like to say "Thank You" to the Bethel Pointe Rehab Center of Muncie for all their care showed to the family during John''s illness. John''s family would also like to say Thank You to all the doctors and nurses who were involved with John''s care. "A Special Thank You" also to Cory Matters, Cindy Hinds and Tammy "Squared" for their endless hours of love, kindness and care they showed to John.
