John Walter Frogge, age 91, died at Hunt Regional Hospital in Greenville, TX on January 1, 2021 of complications from dementia and COVID-19. John was born in Muncie, IN on August 27, 1929.

John is survived by his wife, Willie, to whom he was married for 62 years. Also surviving are his sons and their wives, Mitchell, his wife Teresa and Walter, his wife Teresa Marie. John had five grandchildren, Jessica, Christina, John, James, and Samantha. He was preceded by his father, Mitchell; his mother, Ethel; and his sister, Alice Lucile.

John spent most of his career working for Indiana Steel and Wire, from which he retired in 1992. A lifelong music lover, John was a well-known and well-loved musician in the Central Indiana Country Music scene. He played with several different bands for the decades he lived in Indiana. John and Willie moved to Greenville, TX in 1995. He continued to play music informally with several small local groups after moving to Greenville.

John was a member of the US Army from 1950 – 52.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 9:30 AM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
