May 22, 1930 – June 5, 2021
John Thomas Heath, Sr. of Muncie, Indiana went home to the Lord on Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was 91 years old. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Muncie, Indiana to the late Raymond and Mary (Reynolds) Heath.
A lifelong resident of Delaware County, J. T. graduated from Cowan High School in 1948. He married Emily A. Monroe in Hartford, City on April 13, 1948. He retired from Marsh Supermarkets after nearly 40 years of service. He was a member of Fairlawn Church of Christ for most of his life. J. T. was a lover of sports. He played baseball and basketball at Cowan. As a father and family man, he played softball, was an avid bowler, played basketball, and raced go karts. He loved to golf in his later years. He always had a sparkle in his eye, a grin on his face, and a delightful sense of humor. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
J. T. is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Emily Anne (Monroe) Heath; four sons, Randall W. Heath (Donna) of Sun City Center, Florida, Andrew J. Heath (Susan) of Franklin, Tennessee, John T. Heath, Jr. (Kristina) of Greenville, Ohio, and Terry L. Heath (Virginia Barrios) of Fishers, Indiana; a daughter, Connie S. Rieser of Sun City Center, Florida; a brother, James Heath of Muncie, Indiana; a sister, Ruth Ann Herkimer of Ann Arbor, Michigan; fifteen grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
J. T. was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mary (Reynolds) Heath; brother, Dan Heath; sisters, Janet Munro and Barbara Watkins; and son-in-law, Alan Rieser.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM in Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie with funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM, also in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Muncie. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com .
COVID-19 Limitations: Effective Monday, February 8, 2021, Garden View Funeral Home and Gardens of Memory Cemetery are limited to a maximum of 50 people wearing masks. Once the maximum is reached, additional visitors will be permitted for entry only as others exit. Again, masks are still required at both locations.
