John Edgar Howard, Muncie, passed away on the late morning of Monday, August 21st, 2023. He was 66. John was born July 31, 1957 in Portland, Indiana, a son of the late Curt and Rosemary (Dudley) Howard.
John attended Wes-Del High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1975. He also had attended Ivy Tech Community College for two years in Anderson, Indiana.  He had been employed with DynAmerica as a tool room foreman for 25 years and had also worked for Twoson Tool for eight years as well as the Wes-Del School Corporation for two years.
A lover of nature, John spent much of his leisure time fishing, hunting and camping. He also enjoyed cooking and caring for his vegetable gardens. He also enjoyed doing yard work. John was a very generous man and to know him was to love him. He will be missed by his family and friends. John attended Destiny Christian Center in Muncie.
John is survived by his wife, Cyndi (Fields) Howard; his children, Curt (Ashley) Howard and Adriel Pierce; four grandchildren; his sisters, Patricia (Albert) Johnson, Roseann (Harold) Morgan and Debbie (Tony) Miller as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his first wife, Cathy (Niccum) Howard.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, August 28, 2023 at Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie, with burial following at Gardens of Memory.  Services will be officiated by Doctor Keith O'Neal.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.
For those choosing to make a memorial contribution and in keeping with John's love for nature, the family has suggested those be offered to the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
