Johnny E. Schultz, 89 of Muncie died Tuesday afternoon, April 25, 2017 at Bethel Pointe Health Care Center. He was born July 30, 1927 in Franklin, Ohio and was the son of the late Talmage & Julia (Sluss) Schultz.
Johnny retired from Dayton Walther as a welder. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Johnny loved playing his guitar and going fishing.
Johnny is survived by his niece and caregiver Patricia Webster of Muncie; several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Myrtle Irene Schultz, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral Services for Johnny will be held Monday, May 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Jerry Blevins officiating. Burial with military honors being conducted by the United States Army and the Delaware County Honor Guard will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God Trinity Assembly, 2621 East 26th Street, Muncie, IN 47302.
