John C. Teal, 83, went to meet his lord and savior on March 20, 2023. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on September 5, 1939 to his parents Joe B. and Eddie E. Teel.

He was a High School Graduate and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp., during which time he married the love of his life Peggy.

John was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and good friend to many. He is survived by his sons John Jr. (Heidi) and Mark (Shelly).   A sister Mary (Oliver) Furniss  a brother Volley (Roger) Teel. Grandchildren Anthony, Christopher, Aaron (Stephanie),Andy (Jenna) and Jackson Teal. Great grandchildren Helen and Rachell Teal, Nicholas (Teal) Wells, Mehlani Payton, Harper Jones, Ali, Brianna(Shane), Jake(Macy), Hunter, Conner, Carly and Ben Teal. Great Great grandchild Colton (Teal) Wells, and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years Peggy, his Parents Joe and Eddie Teel and siblings Willa Riddle, Hazel Teel, Silas Teal, Sue Gregory, Jackie Teel, Robbie Lee Teel, Jocie Holiday, Addie Lawson, sister in laws Sharon Teel, and Betty Teal.

John and Peggy owned and operated Teal Trucking and retired together after 33 years. He was a hard worker and provider for his family. He dared to dream and always gave 100% in all his efforts. John cherished his wife and family and had numerous friends that were dear to his heart. His life's hobbies were antique and muscle cars and his horses. He spent his last few years living in Florida on his boat named (The book of John) and made numerous friends during his stay. He enjoyed walking the beach, fishing, and dancing with family and friends before returning home to be with his loved ones.

Services will be held Tuesday March 28th at 12:00 pm at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N State Road 3 Muncie.  Family and Friends may call from 11:00 am -12:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Military Rites will be conducted by Delaware County Honor Guard.
