Johnnie Estel Martin, 79, of Muncie, died Saturday evening, December 22, 2018 with his family by his side. He was born September 7, 1939 in Monticello, KY and was the son of the late Elbert & Thelma (Dobbs) Martin.

Estel worked for General Motors from 1965-1997. He was employeed in the construction field building homes and pouring concrete for 20 years. Estel enjoyed working in the garden and doing farm work. He had worked in the oil fields for a licensed driller in 1960 and had served as a Forest Ranger from 1958-1959.

Estel is survived by his wife of 59 years Doris (Coffey) Martin of Muncie; two sons Stephyn Douglas and Baron Reed Martin (Melissa) of Muncie; four grandchildren Stephyn John Martin, Dylan Reed Martin (Dayna), Tyler Reed Martin and Hunter Reed Martin all of Muncie; three great-grandchildren Dori, Joleen  and Lizzi Martin all of Muncie; his siblings Roy Earnest Martin (Sarah) of TN, Jeannie Campbell, Janis Owens, Phyllis Jones (Bill) of FL, Patty Dunn (Richard) of FL, Elaine Ramsey (Ronald) of IN. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters Loretta Hoover and Gayle Lynn Martin.
