Joseph W. Surface's Obituary
Joseph W. Surface, 90, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 14, 2007 at Albany Health Care.
He was born November 12, 1916 in Anderson, Indiana the son of the late Henry and Lizzie (Tucker) Surface.
Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Dorothy Maxine Surface of Albany; one daughter, Sharon A. Gates (husband - James V.) of Dunkirk; two grandchildren, Gary A. Gates (wife - Lysa) of Albany, Melissa A. Mumbower (husband - Dane) of Dunkirk; three great-grandchildren, Matthew Munson of Anderson, Kodi Mumbower of Dunkirk and Paige Mumbower of Dunkirk and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters.
Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3, Muncie, IN with Pastor Max Waneer officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
