Muncie- Joseph E. Terry, 91, went home to be with the Lord on May 25, 2022.

He was born in Oneida, Tennessee on May 12, 1931. He moved to Muncie, IN with his wife in 1950.

Joseph was known as a hard worker. Early on, Joseph worked at Marhoefer and Ball Glass before finally ending up at Borg Warner, where he worked for 35 years before retiring. He owned Joseph Terry's Plumbing Service for 34 years.

He attended True Light Baptist Church in Muncie for over 40 years. Before True Light , Joseph was a member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church, Muncie, Indiana which he helped build.

He loved fishing, especially fishing for muskie. He also enjoyed camping trips and travels with his wife and family. One of his favorite things were the yearly family reunion camping trips in Tennessee where there was sure to be a big fish fry.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda Sharp and Phyllis Shoptaw (Jim) of Parker City, a daughter-in-law Robin Terry of Alabama, as well as 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Myrtle Terry, a son Bobby Terry, Son-in-law Gary Sharp, twin grandchildren, Elizabeth and Angel, his parents Harrison and Flora Terry, two brothers Lester and Leslie Terry and wives.

Family and Friends may call on Friday June 3, 2022 from 11:00-1:00PM at Garden View Funeral Home at 10501 N. State Road 3, Muncie, Indiana. Funeral service will begin at 1:00PM Friday June 3, 2022 with Paster Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow at Garden View Cemetery.
