Joyce "Louise" Larsen, age 89, born on September 25, 1934, passed away Sunday morning, February 11, 2024. Louise was born to parents' Herbert L. and Sara Elizabeth (Roberts) Bowman in Morehead, Kentucky.

After high school, Louise became a beautician. Louise and Howard, married in 1969- spent their life working together owning 2 businesses with the support of their grandson, Craig Day and other family and friends. In her freetime, Louise loved to sew, play piano, and sing at her Church. She shared her home with many animals over the years. At one time, Howard and Louise shared six dogs and many chickens. Most recently, they were sharing their home with their dogs Angel, Tinkerbell, Bella, and Brownie "Dusty". Louise was also a big outdoors person and loved to hunt and fish.

Louise is survived by her soulmate and loving husband, Charles "Howard" Larsen of Muncie, Indiana; children, Frieda (Tom) Howard of Muncie, Indiana, Danny (Patricia) Crose of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Sally Larsen of Las Vegas, Nevada, Peggy (Bill) Badders of Muncie, Indiana, and Penny (Bill) Shearer; siblings, Clara "Aunt Dookie" (Sonny) of Morehead, Kentucky, and Lucille of Lowell, Indiana.; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Joyce Darnell, Katherine "Kathy" Thompson; and several siblings.

Public visitation will be held at Mount Olive Freewill Baptist Church, 7500 Wheeling Avenue, Muncie Indiana, 47304, at February 16th. 2024 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at February 16th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Brother McCowan and Pastor Jerry Miller officiating. A graveside service will be held after the funeral at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N St. Rd. 3, Muncie Indiana 47303.
