Joyce F. Sanders (Neuhaus) passed peacefully into eternity on July 17th at Morrison Woods Health Campus.
She was born to Chester E. and Peggy (Foltz) Neuhaus on February 12, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Joyce was a member of the 1st graduating class of Princeton High School in Cincinnati. She then married the ole hillbilly, James Sanders, on January 23rd, 1965 in Cincinnati. They moved to Yorktown, Indiana in 1966 to raise her family.
She worked at A.L. Ross & Sons for 23 years before retiring from Marsh Supermarkets. Joyce was active at the church of God at Yorktown for many years.
Joyce is survived by 2 sons, Jeff (Tammy) and Joe (Lana), 3 grandchildren, Bobbi, Tyler, and Taylor; 6 great-grandchildren, Krislyn (Damion), Robby and Austin, as well as Rylan, Axel, and Gwen; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and an uncle; and of course, many friends! She never met a stranger and was a kind, loving soul to everyone she knew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Sanders of 51 years in 2016. Her parents and a brother, Ronnie.
The family would like to thank everyone at Morrison Woods for "Joycie Fay's" or "Joycie Pooh's" exceptional care.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Garden View Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 22nd, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Garden View Funeral Home. The service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastors David Hershey and Jeff Green. Burial will follow at a later date at Gardens of Memory Cemetery-Muncie.
In Lieu of Flowers - donations can be made to a charity of choice or Secret Families of Delaware County.
