MUNCIE - Joyce A. Swartz, 75, of Muncie went home to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 10, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 26, 1933 in Muncie to Charles B. and Margaret (Barton) Foreman. Joyce attended Muncie Community Schools.
For over 20 years she was a custodian for the Wesley Foundation and had worked also for Ball Brothers and Pizza King.
Joyce was a member of Full Gospel Temple.
She is survived by a son, Robert D. Sloan (wife-Lisa), Indianapolis; two daughters, Beth Ann Garland (husband-Steve), Sierra Vista, Arizona, Cathy Tedder (husband-Robert), Michigan Town; brother, Glen R. Wade, Jr. (wife-Joyce), Ft. Wayne; two sisters, Betty Bunch, Muncie, Glenna Gregory (husband-Paul), Muncie; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willard R. Swartz; infant sister, Georgie Foreman; brother, Russell Foreman; sister, Lillian Besser.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Full Gospel Temple, 212 W. 7th Street, Muncie with Pastor Denny Helton officiating.
Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Parson Mortuary and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
