Juanita B. Bennett, 80, of Gaston, IN was called home to be with the Lord surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and friends on Friday March 14, 2008. She was born on July 28, 1927 in West Virginia the daughter of Emory Lark and Ora Elizabeth (Stickly) McCoin. In 1943 she married Millard C. Bennett who preceded her in death.
She loved spending time with her family, working in her flowers, camping, fishing and playing games with her grandchildren. She was a faithful servant of God and taught her children and grandchildren to love the Lord. She left a great example for all those to follow.
Surviving relatives include seven children, Kenneth Bennett (Dawn); Dewayne Bennett (Sharie) both of Muncie; Ray Dean Bennett (Joanne) of Clifton, NJ; Carol Richards (Mark) of Matthews, IN; Joyce Brown (Steve) of Houston, TX; Patricia Richards (Bob) of Gas City, IN; Karen Glancy (David) of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Sue White (Norman) of Mathews, IN; Helen Rowe of Oak Hill, WV; three brothers, Lee McCoin (Mary) of Chattenouga, TN; Gene McCoin (Holly) of Indianapolis, IN; Bill McCoin (Betty) of Fairmount, IN; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, two sisters, one daughter, Sharon Christine.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday March 19, 2008 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor David Morris and Pastor Gary Dalton will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery in Gaston, IN. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
