Obituary

Judith Ann "Judy" (Fancil) Hood, 70, of Parker City, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 11, 1939 in Liberty Center, OH to the late Robert and Mildred (Hoffer) Fancil. On August 30, 1954 she married Corbet Hood.
Judy was an avid reality TV watcher. She also enjoyed playing cards, Bingo and Yahtzee. She loved nature and watching the birds. Judy also belonged to the Avondale Sympathy Club.
Surviving relatives include her 4 loving children, Paul E. Hood (wife: Bobbie) of Parker City, IN; Jeff A. Hood (wife: Judy) of Farmland, IN; Michael R. Hood (wife: Rhonda) of Lordstown, OH; and Shirley Crisp (husband: Danny) of Parker City, IN; brother James Fancil (wife: Cathy) of Jamestown, TN; sister Barbara West of Geneva, IN; half-brothers Bobby Fancil (wife: Pam) and Rick Fancil both of Merryville, GA; and Jack Williamson of Muncie, IN; half-sister Colleen Pierce of Muncie, IN; step-brothers Billy Williamson of TN; Leonard Williamson (wife: Doris) of San Dimas, CA; and Charles Lykins of Yorktown, IN; and step-sister Lois Rainey of Yorktown, IN; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; and several special sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law.
The Hood family would also like to thank the Parker City First Responders, Ball Memorial Trauma Unit, Ball Memorial 7th Floor Nursing Unit, and Dr. Adrian for all of their assistance with their mother''s care.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Corbet Hood of 44 years; and sister Janet Rea Fancil.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Hoyt Davis will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be Thursday, June 25, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Memorial contributions can be made to Randolph County Animal Shelter, 1040 N. CR 200, Winchester, IN 47394 in memory of Judy.
