June Charline Benson, (78), of New Castle, Indiana, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday August 20, 2022. She was born November 22, 1943, to Ernest and Endia (Winchester) Bowden in Cooperative, KY.

June married Toby Benson on November 3, 2002. Together they liked to research genealogy and discover family history. They also like to travel and visit family near where June grew up, in Stearns, Ky. She was a member of Full Gospel Temple, where she taught Sunday School and was part of the jail and nursing home ministries. She retired from Keihin Aircon, North America. She loved spending time with her family, and she adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed her flower garden, taking long car rides and bowling.. She was an avid NASCAR fan of Mark Martin and later  Kyle "Rowdy" Busch and she could always find something she "needed" on QVC.

June is survived by her husband, Toby Benson; children, Brian Holtzclaw Sr. (Sherry). Rhonda Ogle, Eric Benson and Jason Benson (Stephanie); grandchildren Brian Holtzclaw Jr., Zoey Ogle, Aaron Benson (Sam), Elizabeth Gabbard (Daniel), Sidney Benson and Garrett Benson; siblings, C. Dean Bowden (Nancy), Ernest Gene Bowden, Bettie Summers, and Virginia Young (David), Tony Benson; great grandchildren, Keaton Benson, Savannah Gabbard and Kendall Gabbard and several nieces and nephews.

June is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Endia (Winchester) Bowden, mother-in-law, Helga Benson, son-in-law Merle Ogle, brother-in-law John Summer and sister-in-law, Della Bowden.

Calling will be on Monday August 29, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Garden View Funeral Home at 10501 N. St. Rd. 3, Muncie, IN. 47303. Service will be on Tuesday August 30, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. with 1 hour calling before the service with Pastor John Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
