Junell York Foster Walcott, 81, of Muncie, IN, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 28, 1928 in Jamestown, TN to the late Mack Thomas and Electie (Stephens) York.
Junell was a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church as well as Delco Sympathy Club. Junell was very much involved in her family''s everyday activities and loved spending time with all of them.
Junell is survived by her husband, Hubert Walcott of Yorktown; son Glenn Foster (wife, Diane) of Muncie; brother Jim York (wife, Marella) of Jacksonville, FL; 2 sisters Kenny Vanderpool (husband, Scotty) of Whitely City, KY and Helen Pierce of Nicholasville, KY; 3 grandchildren: Holly Tetrault (husband, Tony); Meredith Lynn (husband, Jeremy); and Jenna Foster (fianc Adam Leach); 3 great-grandchildren: Haley & Abbie Tetrault; and Wyatt Lynn; and several nieces and nephews.
Junell was preceded in death by her parents; late husband Leonard C. Foster; brother Ray York; and 2 sisters: Rose Grosser and Lina Neal.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 4, 2010 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m. Pastor James Johnson will officiate the service. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
