Karl Gene Honn, 71, passed away Friday morning, August 28, 2009, at Ball Memorial Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born, January 29, 1938, in Muncie the son of Carl L. and Helen (Souder) Honn and graduated from Center High School in 1957.
Mr. Honn was a self employed sales representative for major packaging products for 20 years prior to his retirement in 2006.
He was an avid golfer and had many golfing friends at the Elks Lodge and Golf Course.
Surviving is his wife of 52 years, Joy (Bainter) Honn; three sons, Thomas Honn (wife-Connie), Springport, Duane Honn (wife-Kelly), Westfield, and Darren Honn, Muncie; six grandchildren; a great granddaughter; two brothers, William Honn (wife-Rae Ann), Albany and Jerry Honn (wife-Debbie), Ft. Wayne; a sister-in-law, Joyce Blount, Greenville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Rd., Yorktown at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2009.
Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel from 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday or one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
