Katheryn Ann Hunt, 89, of Parker City, died Sunday evening, September 13th, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born April 17th, 1926 in Muncie and was the daughter of the late Clarence & Bertha Coats (McDowell).
Katheryn was a member of the Northside Church of God in Muncie. She enjoyed crafts, playing games and spending time with her family and friends.
Katheryn is survived by her two daughters Linda Nichols (Kenneth) of Indianapolis and Joyce Colligan of Parrish, FL; five grandchildren Tracy Smart of Muncie, Teresa Smart Hall of Muncie, Eric Hirons (Shelly) of Greenville, SC., Kerry McPherson (Chris) of Bradenton, FL, and Matthew Hirons (Amanda) of Indianapolis; ten great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; a brother Larry Coats of Muncie; three sisters Carolyn Johnson (Darryl) of Selma, Doris Myers of Muncie, and Marjorie Price of Alabama; several niece and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles D. Hunt in 1988; two sons Danny Guinn in 1981 and Jeff Hunt in 1988.
Funeral Services for Katheryn will be held Wednesday, September 16th, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
