Obituary

Kathryn Pauline Carpenter, 90, went to be with the Lord Monday afternoon, March 7, 2011 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born on November 22, 1920 in Muncie the daughter of Jesse and Corda A. (Davis) Dance and graduated from Muncie Central High School.
Mrs. Carpenter was employed at Ross Hardware, Muncie Newspapers, and was secretary to the assistant principle at South Side High School for nineteen years prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and Avondale Sympathy Club.
Surviving are her husband of over sixty-nine years, Earl; a son, Rodney Earl Carpenter (Mary Lou Hall), Muncie; a daughter, Jennifer Sue Faris (Jeffrey C.), Indianapolis; four granddaughters, Camila L. Jacobi, Fishers, Amanda D. Spagnoli, Playa Vista, CA, Jordon C. Faris, Indianapolis, and Jessica C. Faris, Brisbane, Australia; two great-granddaughters, Giana Isabella Jacobi and Chloe Kathryn Spagnoli; a step-great-granddaughter, Megan Nicole Tomlinson; a sister, Beatrice Maurer (Robert), Terre Haute; a brother, Gene Dance, Mishawaka; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Garnell Craig; and a brother, Jess Dance.
Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011 in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday.
