Kattie Mae Harris, 84, of Muncie, died Monday afternoon, August 18th, 2014 at Castleton Health Care Center in Fishers. She was born April 13th, 1930 in Sumner, Mississippi, and was the daughter of the late Solomon & Leora (Jordan) Lott.
Kattie was a loving wife, mommy, and grandma. She loved to go fishing and to work in her yard. Kattie was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Muncie.
Kattie is survived by her loving husband Henry Harris, Jr. of Muncie; two son''s William Earl and Wayne Harris both of Muncie; two daughters Hattie Mae Ware (William) of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Ruth McIntosh of Muncie; fourteen grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Reggie Harris, a daughter Arzella Harris; two brothers Clarence and Leon Lott.
Funeral services for Kattie will be held Monday, August 25th, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Pastor Edward Long, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 noon on Monday.
