Kay Ramey, 67, of Muncie, IN died at 8:35 p.m. on Saturday March 10, 2007 at her residence. She was born on April 22, 1939 in Vincennes, IN the daughter of David Ralph and Frances (Kirkwood) Bennett. She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1957. On February 2, 1972 she married Ronald Ramey, Sr. who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with all her children and grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include one son, Ronald L. Ramey, Jr. of Columbia, TN; one step-son, Rex L. Ramey (wife: Dena) of Muncie, IN; one sister, Peggy Poe of North Carolina; seven grandchildren, Peggy Sue, Josh, Amanda, Christina, Christopher, Brandon, Stephen, and Daniel Ramey; two-great grandchildren; two great-nephews, Rodney Parker (wife: Sara); Mason Amornarthakij, many great nephews and one great niece; best friend and sister-in-law Judith Bennet; several more nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband Ronald L. Ramey, Sr. and only daughter Frances, four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Tabitha, Britney, and Lindsey Ramey, mother Frances French, grandmother Rosa M. Banther, Brother Gary Bennett, nephew Greg Bennett, brother-in-law, Global Poe, mother-in-law Audrey Goodwin.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 15, 2007 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Hoyt Davis will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 12 - 2 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or the American Heart Association in memory of Kay Ramey.
