Kenneth Duncan, 76, of Muncie, IN died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 6, 1932 in McCreary County, KY the son of Emby and Ollie B. (Ross) Duncan. Kenneth attended school in KY. On November 7, 1953 he married Martha L. Duncan In Jellico, TN. Kenneth retired from Dayton Steel of Muncie as a maintenance worker after 22 years of employment.
Kenneth was a member of the Westside Baptist Church in Muncie. Kenneth was also an avid nature lover as he tended to numerous trees and flowers at his residence. He also loved to socialize with his family.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 55 years, Martha of Muncie, IN; sons, Jimmy Duncan of Muncie, IN; Kenneth Wayne Duncan (wife: Patricia) of Muncie, IN; Ricky Duncan (wife: Claudia) of Albany, IN; Jeff Duncan (wife: Renee) of Chase City, VA; and Gregory Duncan of Muncie, IN; daughter Kathy Arnett of Muncie, IN; sisters Minnie Hicks of Norwood, OH; Carolyn Meadows of Williamsburg, KY; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a favorite sister-in-law, Mildred Duncan of Muncie, IN; and special friend Martha Qualkinbush of Muncie, IN.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, several brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Reverends James Bowman and William Watters will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the funeral home.
