Kenneth S. Kimbrell, 40, passed away Tuesday morning, December 7, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He had resided at the Waters of Yorktown for the past seven years.
Ken was born in Muncie on September 16, 1970, the son of David and Betty (Crabtree) Kimbrell, and was a 1988 graduate of Southside High School.
Kenneth worked for Save-A-Lot Warehouse, and was a Volunteer Firefighter for over three years at Yorktown until his illness in 2003.
Mr. Kimbrell married Bobbie Fisher on February 14, 2000.
Survivors include a son, Austin; step-son, Andrew; his parents; a brother, Greg Kimbrell, Indianapolis; a sister, Glenda Kimbrell, Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by twin boys, Kyle and Kody Kimbrell; maternal grandparents, Willie and Merica Crabtree; and paternal grandparents, Arthur and Cordelia Kimbrell.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends may call at Parson Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010 or one hour prior to time of service on Friday.
