Obituary

Kenneth R. Light, 83, of Muncie, IN died Friday May 29, 2009 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, IN. He was born on March 8, 1926 in Lebanon, MO the son of Robert and Mary (Rippy) Light. On August 5, 1949 he married Pauline (McMahan) Light.
He was a member of the Towne Acres Church of Christ. He loved his family, farming, raising cattle, and gardening. He retired from Warner Gear after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife Pauline Light of Muncie, IN; three sons, Anthony Light (wife: Donna) of Atoka, TN; Norman Light (wife: Debbie) of Upland, IN; Gailon Light of Hartford City, IN; one brother, Freeman Light (wife: Sue); twelve grandchildren, Chuck Light of Hawaii; Chad Light (wife: Kristin) of Hartford City, IN; Clint Light of Atoka, TN; Josh Light (wife: Meredith) of Muncie, IN: Matt Light (wife: Erin) of Noblesville, IN; Ben Light of Indianapolis, IN: Christy Light; Rhett Light (wife: Alana); Rachel Shields (husband: Derek); Brandy Clamme (husband: Kile); Amanda Leas (husband: Derek); Leslie Smith (husband: Chris) all of Hartford City, IN; one daughter-in-law, Lisa Light; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son John Light; two brothers Johnny Light and Ross Light; one sister Colleen Brackett.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Minister Mark Reynolds will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
