Kenneth Glenn Simpson, 81, of Muncie, died Thursday morning, May 1st, 2014 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born January 12th, 1933 in Monticello, KY and was the son of the late John & Ida (Delk) Simpson.
Kenneth was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with all of them. Kenneth enjoyed family dinners and cookouts.
Kenneth is survived by his two children; son Kenny Simpson (Linda) of Muncie and daughter Lynetta Messer (Richard) of Muncie; four grandchildren Amy Simpson, Kenny Simpson (Brandy Duncan), Jonathan Crouch (Kimberly Vela), Andrew Messer, all of Muncie; six great-grandchildren, Gracie Simpson, Baily Dalton, Brooklyn Huerta, Tyler Simpson, Seth Simpson, and Kynlee Crouch; four sisters, Dean Brewster of Monticello, KY, Joyce Barnard (Gaylord) of Muncie, Ina Mae Hurt (Paul) of Muncie, and Irene Holt of Muncie; a brother Keith Simpson (Hilda) of Monticello, KY. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Stella M. Simpson in 2010; two sisters Evelyn Winchester, Lula Foster; two brothers Paul and Benny Simpson.
Funeral services for Kenneth will be held Tuesday, May 6th, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Hoyt Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 5th, 2014 at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
