Kevin O''Connell, age 55, of Muncie, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. He was born October 6, 1956 in Muncie to Charles R. and Anna E. (King) O''Connell. Kevin graduated from Northside High School with the Class of 1975. He was a member of Local #265 Plasterers and Concrete Finishers in the Minneapolis /St. Paul area and worked in Muncie as well, replacing and re-casting fancy Victorian ceilings and decorations.
Kevin is survived by his wife Bonnie (Slusher) O''Connell; mother, Anna; daughter, Erin O''Connell of Washington, D.C.; son, Ian O''Connell, of Muncie. His first grandchild, Miles, was born October 27, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles. Kevin was an avid oil painter and he loved to play his guitar and spend time with his family and his cat, Coo.
A Celebration of Life funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 4:00 PM with Pastor Darrell Parsons officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until service time. Burial will follow at a later date. The family requests memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, to The Animal Rescue Fund (A.R.F.) 1209 W. Riggin Road, Muncie, IN 47303.
