Kevin E. Perry, 55, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 at his residence in Muncie following an extended illness.
He was born January 16, 1955 in Lawrenceville, Illinois and moved to Muncie in 1966.
He was a 1973 Graduate of Yorktown High School. He was a long time member of Westside Church of Christ. He was a long time hardware store manager and worked for: Yorktown Hardware, Hi-way 3 Hardware, Truevalue, Lowe's, and retired from Ace Hardware in 2002.
He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, watching the wildlife from their deck, and working in the yard and reading. He was most proud of his children and especially his grandsons.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years, Deborah (Smith) Perry; three children, Ross Perry, (fiance', Alycia Newgent), Kristy (husband, Matthew) Burch, and Katie (husband, Casey) Robinson; two grandsons, Riley Burch and Gavin Burch; mother, Norma (Gaines) Perry; brother, Ken (wife, Sheri) Perry; two sisters, Karen (husband, Volker) Jaromin, and Kay (husband, Chris) Beck; father-in-law, and mother-in-law, Herbert and Betty Smith; three nephews; six nieces; and numerous cousins and many friends also survive him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Ryburn Perry who passed away this past March.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Larry Reynolds officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
