Lanny Mike Robertson, 67, of Anderson, died Monday morning, July 21st, 2014 at his residence. He was born October 12th, 1946 in Holland, MO, and was the son of the late Charles & Bessie (Martin) Robertson.
Lanny was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Anderson. He retired from Colonial Bakery after 30 years of service. Lanny enjoyed painting by numbers, building models, camping, and playing basketball and softball. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army, where he was in maintenance of Hawk Missiles.
Lanny is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Rosemary (Rogers) Robertson of Anderson; three daughters Heidi Wilcox (Tom Artman) of Noblesville, Patty Brobst (Rick) of Muncie, and Michelle R. Robertson (Garry Tuttle) of Muncie; a son Michael Robertson (Michelle L.) of Muncie; five grandsons, Joel Wilcox of Anderson, Andrew Brobst of Houston, TX, Spencer Hessman of Franklin, IN, Jacob Robertson of Muncie, and CJ Childress of Muncie; five granddaughters Cassandra Wilcox of Orlando, FL, Brittany Brobst of Muncie, Kristen Brobst of Muncie, Hillary Robertson of Daleville, and Danielle Dwiggins of Lafayette, IN; a great-grandson Ryker Brobst of Muncie, IN; three brothers, Martin Hamlett (Grace) of Peru, IN, Bill Robertson of Muncie and Danny Robertson (Sara) of Anderson; five nieces and four nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Mary Sue Dick, and a grandson Brandon Robertson.
Funeral services for Lanny will be held Thursday, July 24th, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Donald Weston officiating. Entombment with military honors being conducted by the United States Army and the Delaware County Honor Guard will be held privately on Friday in Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice with envelopes provided at the funeral home.
