Laraine (Stewart) Anderson, age 78, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away on March 13, 2025 with her family at her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Laraine was born on October 21, 1946 to Kinsey and Anna Stewart. She attended Garfield, Franklin, and Muncie Central High School. She lived her entire life in Muncie. We often joked that mom knew every single back road of Muncie and she never hesitated in telling us how to get from one side of town to the other. Laraine married Steve Anderson on February 17, 1973.
Over the years, Laraine worked at Excel Manufacturing, Werts Novelty, and retired from Jardon Home Goods in 2012.  She loved bowling and often bowled on several leagues in the Muncie area.
Laraine is survived by her husband of 52 years, Steve Anderson; her daughters: Rayna Kay (Michael) Wright, Carol (Jose) Nieves, Karla Goodman; her sons: Jeff (Rhonda) Anderson and John (Angie) Anderson; her brother, Ed Stewart; 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Laraine was preceded in death by her sisters: Sandra Thompson and Judy Arnold; brothers: John Stewart and Art Stewart, son-in-law, Jackie (Fletch) Goodman, and a niece Melissa Arnold.
Per Laraine's request, there will not be any funeral services.
