Larry Paul Allen, 79, of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2025.
Born in Wadsworth, Ohio, Larry graduated from Kenmore High School in 1964 before proudly serving his country in the United States Air Force. He completed four years of active duty from 1964 to 1968, followed by two years in the inactive reserves. A dedicated serviceman, Larry also served in the Honor Guard for more than five years—an experience he held with great pride throughout his life.
After his military service, Larry worked at Arvin Industries for many years and later retired in 2010 as a Senior Computer Programmer Analyst. His curiosity and love of learning never faded—he especially enjoyed studying World War II history, and could often be found researching and sharing fascinating details about the past.
Larry's life was marked by dedication—to his country, his family, and his faith. On September 14, 2025, he made the most important decision of his life, professing his faith in Jesus Christ, finding peace and purpose in his Christian walk.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Dee Allen; his children Lorie D'Andrea (Daniel) and Niki Mullins; siblings Cindy Sheffer, Robert Allen, and Perry Kunstek; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth Allen, his son, Scott Allen and his brother Jim Kunstek.
Larry will be remembered for his patriotism, intelligence, humor, and love for his family. His legacy of faith and service will live on through all who knew and loved him.
Memorial Service will be October 26th 2025 at 2:00 PM with meal to follow at Community Church,  9701 N 450 W Rd, Muncie, In 47304.
