Obituary

Larry R. Manship, 75, of Muncie IN. passed away January 20, 2022 at Ball Memorial Hospital. Born February 5, 1946 to the late Edward E. Manship and Joan (Crousore) Manship.
Larry graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1964,  then enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War from 1965-1967. He joined the National Guard in 1980 and served as a Sergeant First Class Officer until his retirement in the military in 2001. He was also employed at Ball State University as a building mechanic in Housing and Residential Life and retired in 2006 after 24 and a half years. Larry married Candace on November 4, 1995.
Larry was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church, Muncie IN, Lifetime member of the AMVETS Post 12, Muncie IN, and American Legion, Selma IN. He loved to fish, go camping, going to NASCAR races while also collecting NASCAR memorabilia, and he was an avid scroll saw worker.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Joan, Brother-In-Law; James Ridgway, Brothers; James Manship, and David Manship. Survived by Wife Candace, Daughter; Niki, Sisters; Beth Ann Freeman (Paul), Kathy Ridgway, Brother; Shane Manship (Rita), 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Garden View Funeral Home in Muncie, IN Thursday January 27, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. Services following at 1:00 P.M. Final disposition taking place at Gardens of Memory Cemetery after services.
