Mr. Larry Dean Reno, Selma, passed away on the early morning of Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was 70. Larry was born November 12, 1952 in Muncie, Indiana, a son of the late Quitman B. and Vera I. (Dishman) Reno.
Larry attended Muncie Central High School and was a member of the graduating Class of 1971. He had been employed with AT&T as a splicer until retiring in 2009 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Communications Workers of America during his career with AT&T.
Larry is survived by his children, Shaun Reno and Chad (Andrea) Reno; his grandchildren, Alex, Joshua, Benny Cassie and Kyah and a great-grandchild, Nirvana; his siblings, Edmund (Loretta) Reno and Roger Reno; a brother-in-law, Don Martin; a sister-in-law, Nancy Reno as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in passing by his wife, Cindy (Rehse) Reno; his siblings, James Herman Reno and Gertie Martin and a sister-in-law, Margaret Reno.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Garden View Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest beside his wife at Gardens of Memory following the service.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
For choosing to make a memorial contribution, the family has suggested those be offered to the American Red Cross (Hawaii Disaster Relief) or the American Heart Association.
