Lavera "Betty" Marie Smith, 96 of Muncie, died Tuesday afternoon January 22, 2019 at The Woodlands of Muncie. She was born July 4, 1922 in Muncie and was the daughter of the late Fred & Gladys (Bond) Mann.

Lavera was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed collecting antiques and going to flea markets. Lavera loved spending time with her family.

Lavera is survived by her three grandchildren Joshlyn Smith of Muncie, Brian Smith (Kelly) of Largo, FL and Shane Smith (Andrea) of Muncie; six great-grandchildren; a special niece Joan Steinberger of New Paris, OH; several other nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Marion Smith; a son Patrick Smith and several siblings.
