Leavella Downs, 90, of Muncie, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born August 12, 1922 in Livingston, Tennessee to the late Jesse and Della (Ray) Bilbrey. Leavella was a Homemaker and spent over 60 years in the Muncie area She is survived by 3 children Melba (Earl) Hess of Hampton, Virginia, Della Roundtree of Muncie, and Annetta (Richard) Lincoln of Foxborough, Massachusettes; 10 Grandchildren including Beloved Granddaughter Toni Lee Blanchard, in addition to, Billie Jo Hughes Jr., Walter Allen Hughes, Michael Todd Hughes, Rhonda Leonard, Jeanetta Wilson, Jamie McColley, David Roundtree, Joshua Lincoln, and Katie Lincoln; 8 Great Grandchildren; 2 sisters Eva Wade and Dorothy Grant both of Muncie; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Downs and a daughter Bettie Hughes. Visitation is Monday, September 24, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at The Garden View Funeral Home, Muncie. Funeral Services will follow immediately at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Holt officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
