Lee Opal Gregory, 93, of Muncie, died Monday evening, July 1st, 2013 in Kansas City, MO. She was born April 29th, 1920 in Monticello, KY, and was the daughter of the late Jeff & Sally (Gibson) Dobbs.
Opal loved going to church and had attended First Freewill Baptist Church on Cornbread Road. She was saved at an early age in Kentucky. Opal loved gospel music, setting on the porch swinging, walks in park, and gardening. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
Opal is survived by her three daughters, Daisy Copher (Alan) of Muncie, Leda Faye Beaty (Edgar) of Kansas City, MO., and Reba Feldman of America Canyon, CA; ten grandchildren, Missy (Jeff), Tim, Alana (Mark), Alan (Marta), Megan (Jesse), Erin (Todd), Brian, Shannon, Jenny, and Larry; fifteen great-grandchildren, Chelsea (Aaron), Chenea, Aerricadawn (Byron), Kyle, Anastia, Cameron, Harley, Cali, Caytlin, Liam, Logan, Aiden, Rowan, Julia, and Lauren; three great-great grandchildren Molly, Colin, and Evan; a sister Lois Bell (Archie) of Muncie, and a brother Frank Dobbs of Monticello, KY. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband Noble Gregory, and three sisters, and a brother.
Funeral Services for Opal will be held Saturday, July 6th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call Saturday from 9:00 a.m. up until the time of the service at 10:00 a.m.
