Leoma E. Bailey, 82, passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 15, 2008 at Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born March 10, 1925 in Wheeling the daughter of Charles and Grace (Honold) Law. Leoma enjoyed crocheting, shopping, traveling and was always active.
She was a member of Full Gospel Temple Church, where she enjoyed fellowship with all her friends. Mrs. Bailey is survived by five daughters, Regina Chriswell, (husband-Mike), Donna Garrett, Cherryll Jennings, (husband-Rick), JoAnn Dailey, (husband-Ted), and Janet Bailey; eleven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister Elizabeth Hammer and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty-two years, Charles A. Bailey; a son, Ronald; eight brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Gary Garrett.
Services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Brother Charles Conley officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 and one hour prior to services, Wednesday at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
