Linda Kay Calvert, 64, of Muncie, IN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday December 22, 2010 at her residence in Muncie. She was born on May 6, 1946 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Escal E. and Irene (Little) Hill. On June 1, 1968 she married Larry Calvert.
She graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1964 and from Ball State University in 1968. She retired from New Venture Gear after 36 years of service.
She was loved by her family very much. She was a member of the Fairlawn Church of Christ. She enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving relatives include her loving husband, Larry Calvert of Muncie, IN; son, Nathan A. Calvert (wife: Lisa) of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Angela K. Crump (husband: Greg) of Muncie, IN; brother, Don Hill (wife: Annetta) of Muncie, IN; special aunt, Ruth Prater; two grandchildren, Chloe and Lexy Crump.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday December 27, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Mike Barnes will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Sunday December 26, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Fairlawn Church of Christ Mission Fund.
