Linda R. Landers, 62, passed away early Thursday evening, January 13, 2011 at the Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born March 15, 1948 in Muncie, the daughter of Bill and Marilyn (Scott) Brinson.
She is a 1968 graduate of Muncie Central High School. Linda married Robert Landers in 1997 and he preceded her in death in 1999.
Mrs. Landers had worked as an assistant Administrator for the Liberty Village Health Care Center in Muncie for eighteen years retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge Auxiliary and the North Side Church of God. Linda enjoyed bowling and bingo.
Surviving are her son, Jimmie Hamblin (wife, Noel), Muncie; her daughter, Shellie Grizzle (husband, Danny), Muncie; two grandchildren, Tyler and Courtney Grizzle both of Muncie; one sister, Joyce Jones (husband, Larry), Greenwood; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband of two years Robert, she is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Rhonda Eckert.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January, 17, 2011, 1:00 p.m. at the Northside Church of God with Pastor Jeff Veatch officiating. Parson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements. Entombment will follow at the Gardens of Memory north of Muncie.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Sunday, January 16, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
