Linde Barton, 53, of Shorewood, IL died Sunday March 14, 2010 at her residence. She was born on December 2, 1956 in Schweinfurt, Germany the daughter of Valdis and Marianne (Hartleb) Grikis. On August 14, 1982 she married Robert Barton.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and cooking
Surviving relatives include her husband, Robert L. Barton of Shorewood, IL; daughter, Holly Barton of Carmel, IN; step-daughter Andrea Fowler of Milwaukee, WI; mother, Marianne Hahn of Shorewood, IL; one brother, Val Grikis of Austin, TX; one sister, Wiga Kowalski of Speedway, IN; and two grandchildren, Ava and Ella Fowler of Milwaukee, WI.
She was preceded in death by her father and step-father, Johannes Hahn.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday March 19, 2010 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Pastor Dennis Trimble will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. www.gardenviewandgardensofmemory.com
