Llanie Sue Knox, 73, of Ellenton, FL and formerly of Muncie, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Tampa General Hospital in Tampa FL. She was born February 11, 1944 in Muncie and was the daughter of the late Charles & Alice (Henn) Sherwood.
Llanie was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She loved caring for and taking care of her family, she especially loved being with her grandchildren. Llanie enjoyed farming with her father and showing Arabian horses. She was a former graduate of Muncie Central High School and an employee of Ontario Corporation.
Llanie is survived by her two daughters Allyson Brown (Patrick) of Ellenton, FL, and Amy Sweitzer of Muncie; four grandchildren Matthew Brown and Connor Brown both of Ellenton, FL, Kassandra Sweitzer of Elkhart, IN and Jacob Sweitzer of Muncie; a brother Tim Goodwin (Janet) of New Castle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Knox and a son Matthew Williams.
Funeral Services for Llanie will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
