MUNCIE - Lois A. Bond, 68, resident of Gillepsie Towers in Muncie, went to meet her Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 12, 2011 while having a short stay at The Waters of Muncie.
She was born November 17, 1942 in Muncie, the daughter of Lowell and Anne (McClung) Waid. Lois graduated from Royerton High School in 1960.
She was formerly employed by Al Pete Meats, the U.S. Post Office and the former Delaware County Home. Lois attended High Street United Methodist Church and Covenant Partner Ministries. She participated in United Methodist Women, Thursday Luncheon and Update Learning at High Street United Methodist Church and Caleb's Kin at Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband and his family, Ron Bond, Muncie; two children, Mark Ramey (wife, Debra), Muncie and Cheryl Minor, Muncie; one sister, Alice Crouse (husband, David), Albany; three brothers, Paul Waid (wife, Pat), Middletown, Dale Waid, Muncie, and Lee Waid (wife, Alice), Daleville; six grandchildren, Mark Stellway, Tony Stellway, Amber Stellway, Angel Ramey, Travis Fuller and Phillip Guzman (wife, Kristin); three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Rev. Charlotte Overmyer and Pastor Linda McBride officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, or one hour prior to services Friday.
