Lois M. (Ritter) Everhart, 84, died early Friday evening, July 10th, 2009, at Ball Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born August 13, 1924 in Albany, the daughter of Howard and Opal Hinton Ritter, graduated from Albany High School, and spent her entire life in the Albany area.
Mrs. Everhart was employed for twenty years with Indiana Glass Company in Dunkirk prior to her retirement in 1986.
Lois was a member of Order of Eastern Star, Teresa Chapter #237, and the Ralph Burgess American Legion, Post #227, Auxiliary, both of Albany.
Surviving are her daughter, Pamela S. Cox (husband, Gordon), Yorktown; her son, Jay Everhart, Albany; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews including Barbara Lehman and Marilyn Shults.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than fifty-three years, Don E. Everhart in 2001.
Services will be held at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel 1:30 p.m., Monday, July 20th, 2009, with Rev. Dr. Ronald Naylor officiating. Entombment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie, IN.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory from noon until service time on Monday.
