Lois June Stanley, 88, of Muncie, IN died Thursday April 19, 2012 at Stonebrooke Nursing Home in New Castle, IN. She was born on June 2, 1923 in Henry County, IN the daughter of William E. and Elizabeth (Bunch) Wickliff. She married Walter J. Stanley. June enjoyed spending time with her family and especially making raspberry jelly with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening and reading and was a professional seamstress running her business out of her home for the last 50+ years. Surviving relatives include two sons, William McCormick of Springport, IN; Michael McCormick of Indianapolis, IN; three sisters, Wilma Mitchell (Harold) of New Castle, IN; Mary Miller of New Lisbon, IN; Nancy Jo Compton of Stem, NC; two brothers, Noble Wickliff (Pat) of Concord, NC; Philip Wickliff (Casteen) of Springport, IN; four grandchildren, Wendy Cox (Jim) of Noblesville, IN; Trent McCormick (Jennifer) of Yorktown, IN; Elizabeth Rozzi (Jay) of Indianapolis, IN; Brent McCormick (Tina) of New Castle, IN; six great-grandchildren, Kayleigh; Kellie; Casey; Diana; Cody; and Cael. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, William Jr.; Byron; David; two sisters, Betsy; Virginia; and her husband. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, IN. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Little Red Door Cancer Services of East Central Indiana.
