Lona M. Carney, 51, of Hartford City, IN died Monday January 12, 2009 at her residence. She was born on August 5, 1957 in Muncie, IN the daughter of Kenneth Neil and Margaret (Nelson) Hough. She married Michael Carney who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 2005.
She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her granddaughter. She was a loving and caring mother, daughter, sister and grandmother who was devoted to her family. She enjoyed helping others. She worked for Spartech Plastics for 15 years and previously worked for several years at Arrowhead Plastics in Muncie.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Rick Carnes of Montpelier, IN; Ryan Carney of Hartford City, IN; Father, Kenneth Neil Hough; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Carnes of Montpelier, IN; two brothers, Mike Hough (wife: Debbie) of Roanoke, IN, Steven Hough of Montpelier, IN; three sisters, Lelia Greer (husband: Joseph) of Muncie, IN; Elaine Burch (husband: T.J.) of Carmel, IN; Linda Spence of St. Paul, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and mother.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday January 17, 2009 at Garden View Funeral Home 10501 North State Road 3 Muncie, IN. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
