Lonnie Rayburn Brown, age 64, of Redkey, IN passed away July 20, 2011. He was born October 25, 1946 in Muncie to Cecil and Izora (Lawson) Brown. Lonnie was a graduate of Southside High School and worked for Furrows for many years. He enjoyed working on small engines and was a great Mr. Fix-it. He was also an avid fisherman, gardener and he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
He married the former Diana K Campbell on December 17, 1982 and she survives him along with son, Lonnie Joseph Brown of Sneedville, TN; step-son Todd W. Goodman (Krista) of Farmland; daughter, Kathy D Blackwell (Robert) of Oklahoma City, OK; step-daughter, Kari Ann Musick, of Muncie; brothers, Randell D. of Muncie, Gaylon M. (Mary) of Ridgeville, IN, Ernie L. (Sharon) of Redkey, Floyd E. (Jody) of Redkey, William of Hartford City and Cecil J. (Susan) Brown of West Milton, OH.; sister, Rita Brown Skiver (Richard) of Indianapolis; ten grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Larry R. Brown.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, IN 47303, with Bro. Paul Kirby officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, from 2:00 until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the family of Lonnie R. Brown.
