Lonnie Wayne Conyers, 69, of Muncie, died Thursday evening, July 9th, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born February 2nd, 1946, in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to the late Charles & Dorothy Conyers, Jr.
Lonnie was an avid marble collector and fisherman. He worked several years at Chrysler Corporation and Smile Properties. He met the love of his life Phyllis Goff and they were married 35 years. Lonnie never met a stranger.
Lonnie is survived by his wife Phyllis Conyers of Muncie; children Kevin W. Conyers (Lisa) of Springport, IN, Danny Conyers (Lori) of Mechanicsburg, IN, Dallas Reynolds (Shannon) of Greenfield, IN; brother Rick Conyers (Patsy) of Cadiz, IN; sister Donna Hayes (Charles) of Jackson, KY; brother-in-law Bud Shute (Joyce) of Bloomingdale, IN and brother-in-law Allen Goff (Jan) of Muncie, IN; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other loved family members, and a special family the Indiana Marble Club and many marble collectors across the world.
Funeral Services for Lonnie will be held at Union Chapel Ministries on Tuesday, July 14th, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Glenn Greiner officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the services at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Garden View Funeral Home.
