Loretta Mae Rench, 77, of Muncie, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. She was born on December 9, 1932 in Largo, IN to the late Arthur and Elsie (Snowberger) Scott. On October 31, 1958 Loretta married her love, Earl Franklin Rench in Muncie.
Loretta was a great stay-at-home mother for her children until they grew up and moved on. She then worked in the dining service at Ball State University from 1980-1990. Loretta was an avid bingo player. Loretta also had memberships with the VFW, American Legion, and Eagles.
Loretta is survived by her loving children: Pamela Maples (the late Fred Maples); Cindy McNeal (husband, Eugene); Patricia Auxier (husband, Jay); Kimberly Clanin (husband, David); Franklin Rench; Trudie West (husband, Scott); and Douglas Rench; step-daughter Rena Strahley; step-son John Rench (wife, Betty); brothers: Larry Scott (wife, Lois); and Ronnie Scott; 27 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and a few nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 41 years, Earl F.Rench; sons: Alan Beeks and Randy Beeks; step-daughter Lyona Laudermilt; and sister Marcella Burnsworth.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. State Rd. 3, Muncie, as well as on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will be on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post #651, American Legion Post #19, and/or AmVets Post #12.
