Louisa B. Hart Greenwalt, 92, known to family and friends as Pat, passed away on Friday evening, June 5, 2009 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born January 30, 1917, in Muncie, the daughter of William Franklin and Sarah B. (Curtis) Nelson. Louisa attended Muncie City Schools.
Mrs. Hart Greenwalt was married to Francis E. Hart for fifty seven years and to Kenneth L. Greenwalt for twelve years.
Louisa retired from Ball State University in the Dining Service Dept.
She attended Antioch Church of the Brethren. Pat enjoyed baking, sewing, crafts, bird watching and traveling.
Surviving is a son, Danny Hart (wife-Peggy), Muncie; two granddaughters, Kathy Knox (Donn), Muncie, and Kenna Bales (husband-Bill), Muncie; two great grandchildren, Kara and Seth Knox; three step children, Janice Largent (husband-Charlie), Muncie, Larry Greenwalt (wife-Joy), Zionsville and Keith Greenwalt, Muncie; six step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two husbands; one brother, Charles Nelson; and one sister, Betty Thomas.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Pastor Bob Smith officiating.
Private internment services will be held at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N. State Rd 3, Muncie.
Friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until service time.
